The staff at Derian House welcomed us warmly, and we felt like we had brought Isaac home. They looked after us all, feeding us and even doing all our washing. Nothing was too much trouble. They made Isaacs few days of life, and his death, as perfect as it could be under the tragic circumstances. Their hard work and dedication meant we could spend every minute with Isaac, and we could support our other children Georgia, Jacob and Madison, to make as many happy memories as possible. We took hundreds of pictures, had a lovely lady come and take casts of his hands and feet, and spent hours hugging and talking to Isaac, getting little sleep but still feeling like it was too much. We just wanted to be with him for every hour. After a couple of nights though we were exhausted, and had decided to head to bed and leave the staff to look after both of the babies. This was friday night. However, Isaac deteriorated rapidly through the night, and very early in the morning the staff said we should come and see him.
